What specific trigger caused you to start accumulating bitcoin? For me, it was that the price was skyrocketing just as I realized how sound the bitcoin monetary policy is, caused FOMO!

The Government sold my assets because I'm a dual citizen. I have to trade US assets with a US account but I don't have residency, only citizenship, so it's difficult to open an account. I then realized that assets are not actually yours so I found an asset only I can control

I only lost my positions on my US stock portfolio. They converted it to cash immediately so i was lucky and didn't lose anything. I didn't want to sell them at all but it was a big wake-up call for me. I studied Bitcoin extremely hard because I wasn't convinced at first.

Then once I actually studied the protocol, ran my own node, etc. I couldn't believe what I had discovered and I just wanted to learn as much as possible because I wanted to teach others who are excluded for even more unfair reasons than I was.
