Appreciate the effort, but you're wasting time with this guy. Not interested in having a logical or factual discussion on the issue. He thinks 30,000 new citizens in Shirley Basin and the Red Desert & maybe atop Laramie Peak is a perfectly rational idea. It's just empty land...
There's a weird type who sees undeveloped land as some kind of failure b/c it's not actively serving human needs. The weird part is that they're found across the entire political spectrum.
Agree. Yeah. But, he wouldn't even discuss the economical, logistical, or ecological challenges his grand settlement of remote arid places would pose. Pretty sure he pictures gentle green rolling hills, endless water, lots of roads/utilities nearby, long growing season, etc.
