Hi Yehuda! Can you file a bug on http://bugzilla.mozilla.org pls? I'm a huge fan of twitter, but in our experience it didn't pan out as a bug and feature triaging tool :)

On the other hand, as a user, filling bugs into the void didn't pan out :) (As a maintainer, I understand the sentiment, but I think it's inevitable that people will tweet issues)
-
Is there a way to file via GitHub Issues?
-
Unfortunately no :( we rely on bug dependencies and GitHub doesn't handle that (yet?). but bugzilla supports GitHub accounts so I hope it doesn't get too daunting :)

Looks like something tooling can do better, indeed. Do you expect better logging that exposes internals or memory inspection? /cc
@jasonlaster11 -
Likely inspection. In this case, both the key and the weakmap identify need to be clearly surfaced
-
Yep. That makes a lot of sense. Our memory tools certainly could use some UX Cc

Thanks, y’all rock

I really feel like Object inspectors should show retaining WeakMaps as if they were a pseudo property. Key being the WeakMap value being the mapped value.
-
And for inverse, setting up a retainers shortcut outside the memory profiler tabs. Goodness that would be nice.
-
Could even do a full snapshot to grab the retainers when I request it. IDC if it is slow because the usage is semi-rare
