I feel that there isn't enough attention paid to "infant and toddler mode" on smart phones. There's a lot of attention paid to "child mode" via parental controls, but that's pretty different.

I can easily control his access at a coarse grain at this age, but at a fine grain he can do a whole lot of stuff in matter of seconds more or less by accident.

Example: in normal mode (including child mode) it's very important for 911 to be as easy as possible. In baby mode, I don't want 911 anywhere at all.

Babies don't have anything useful to do with notification shades, so I'd rather they be hidden.

@WyKittens, at least, knows how to select apps from the home screen, so I do want to let him do that (once I winnow the list down). Android's separation of home screen from whole list is great here, and I wish I could hide "all apps" from him.Show this thread -
I also wish I could hide Google Now in Baby Mode (rather than just making it appear and say it's disabled via parental controls).

Finally, I think that Android Family Link is a great starting point for all of these features, and if it had a Baby Mode (rather than just a parental controls child mode) I'd be in heaven.
