Isn't that because only a minority of American Christians hold these extreme positions?

American Muslims broadly believe that American law is the law of the land, as do American Jews and American Christians. Freedom of religion means that American Muslims can practice according to their religious law (Sharia) just as Jews follow ours (Halakha).
-
Claims that American Muslims don't believe in American law or can't be Americans and Muslims at the same time have exactly the same structure as anti-Semitic beliefs and are wrong (morally and empirically).
-
No one claimed that though.

No one in this thread put forward the argument that American Muslims don't believe in American law or can't be Americans. So why bring it up?
-
Because it's a belief highly correlated with the idea that "Muslims" writ large are so extreme that the handful of Muslims who aren't should be labeled moderate. If you believe that the vast majority of American Muslims are extremists, how could you not come to that conclusion?
-
I've never said that and I don't believe that the vast majority of American Muslims are extremists.

The Christian is not subject to the law but made righteous by God’s Grace, hence Christianity should have no business being used in politics
