If you use Ember or have used it in the past, what would it take for you to feel great about using it for your next new project (and recommending it to your friends for new projects)? Feel free to say "I'd already use it" but be honest :)

Better integration with the rest of the JS ecosystem. I’d like to use Webpack, Redux or GraphQL without feeling guilty for not following “best practices”.

Webpack maybe not, but redux and particularly graphQL are perfectly valid choices. Definitely not against Ember.

Yeah I think we’re looking to better make these known in the docs/community space. For many apps I use ED still for CRUD and POJOs for read only/reporting but making other options known is

And let it be known that at least from the perspective of this Ember core team member, if you have a good use case for GraphQL or Redux, I say go for it!

We didn't get any proposals, and I heard that people didn't submit because they were worried they wouldn't be accepted. I think the conference committee would have been delighted to accept a redux talk from

The data talk will probably talk about alternatives like gql in a non disparaging way.

Last year the date talk was mostly about ember-data.

I think that'll be true this year too with some space carved out for alternatives and more discussion on how to use ED as a dumb store primitive.
