If you use Ember or have used it in the past, what would it take for you to feel great about using it for your next new project (and recommending it to your friends for new projects)? Feel free to say "I'd already use it" but be honest :)

Builds are slow. There is a tipping point where webpack becomes unique enough that it could be lock in, but that would be a choice. Obviously its popularity is a big difference also. FYI I think Ember cli HAS good ideas, people have copied it etc.

I think I just need to try getting ember working outside of ember cli again. Been a bit. No reason npm install ember-source shouldn’t work from webpack, roll up, etc
-
It probably won't though :) "Make ember work without ember cli" is a good goal that should come after "make it possible to use ember without cruft" (jQuery, IE11 support, legacy object model, etc etc)

Oh and while I have you here, I have no idea how to get flow-type to work with ember di (another pain point). Not asking to solve, just unique stuff like this hurts sometimes

. Hope 2018 is amazing for you and your fam
