Google has been punishing its users for using any non-Google service for years. Its Cast APIs are ridiculously locked down.

Unless you count "every app on Android" as a "Google service" I have no idea what you're saying. Are you saying that Google blocks Apple from implementing ChromeCast support in iTunes (and they want to) but it doesn't affect Netflix, Hulu & dozens of other Google competitors?
