Effectiveness. Basecamp can be extremely effective for an organization even if it’s only used a few times per week. Maximizing “time spent on BC” is almost an anti-measure.

I think that’s the difference between engagement and retention Retention is how often they come back, and seems like a good measure of “is this product useful”

I don’t think retention is that well correlated with effectiveness. If you define retention as “how often do they come back”, you’ll be incentivized to lure people back ever more often. Not good imo.

I find that most people don’t need more reminding than their monthly invoice email
