I want to but the cbs subscription thing. I’ll buy it when it’s for sale.

If you're a Star Trek fan, $10 /mo is worth it. You can buy it using Android Pay (probably iPhone too) and cancel using your phone.
-
I have considered it
-
My kind of worry about this UX is it may look like viewership is poor compared to other shows and the brand will suffer for it
-
As far as I can tell, they have incorporated this into how they're thinking about it. They're talking about "success for a streaming service" openly and already renewed for Season 2.
-
That is great to hear

I'm really impressed with the production value
-
Me too. There are some small plot holes here and there, but overall very good.
-
It wouldn't be Star Trek without nitpicks and the resulting retcons ;)

Not buying a streaming service just to watch the show. They could have at least put it on the massively overpriced Comcast CBS or Netflix.
-
$10/mo while it's on is just not much. At some point something's gotta pay for production and I don't mind that they're trying a more a la carte model.

I wasn’t sure I’d like it at first, but I’m really enjoying it.
-
Samesies. Now that they got back to the tried and true Star Trek formula it soars.
-
Agreed, it’s hard to go wrong with that formula. 700+ episodes across all the series and millions of happy fans can’t be wrong.

Agreed. Definitely enjoying it. Shame it's not on Netflix in the States. Would make it so much easier for folks to see it.
-
CBS streaming it on their site was a bad idea. They don't have enough good shows to warrant buying a subscription.
-
Or maybe streaming channels have a much lower "success bar" and it's working for them ;)
