I love the interplay of “where you are” vs “who you are”/“how far I’ll go”. Probably my fav songs are How Far I’ll Go and I Am Moana. But the whole soundtrack is

The transition from Grandma Tala to Moana in Who You Are makes my eyes well up. Seriously, I can't help it and it happens every time.

"Who am I?" "I am a girl who loves my Island. I'm the girl who loves the sea." A spirit of voyaging doesn't conflict with tradition. In fact, it embraces an even older tradition. Synthesis baby.
