Anyone know why Windows can share a wifi network as another wifi network but OSX cannot? Kernel limitations?

Also: modern Macs must have the ability to do this, because AirDrop works by negotiating a WiFi direct connection by way of Bluetooth.

Hm. It seems like there's some driver reason that it's common on Windows but not OSX. Maybe Airdrop is a different trick?

Seems like MS standardized it in drivers in Windows 7, Apple not until Yosemite, so they probably just didn't add UI for it?

It's such a useful feature that it's a damn shame.
