What about mismatches in internationalization libraries? Are we not seeing this much anymore?
Can you clarify? For text mismatches, we correct them on the client, and will add an explicit API in 16.1 to suppress that warning.
What about attributes (title, for example) or dangerouslySetInnerHTML?

16 is initial version focused on compat. We have many of dependents that we’re taking with us on every update
New features will be opt-in
But yea, incremental rehydration is doable and pretty exciting

Woot woot. Anything planned for 17? Or just hanging at 16.x for a while?
Hanging on 16.x for a while but 17 will likely have changes to the DOM model/interop to simplify/modernize that code a bit.
