Something has been bothering me and it finally clicked. Twitter isn't a place to learn anymore because you can't tell who is a troll/bot.

Yes twitter has always had trolls and bots. But they were easy to spot. The bots were unsophisticated and the trolls were outlandish.

But increasingly there are real humans on here who believe and espouse outlandish things. They behave like trolls and bots unironically.

Meanwhile the bots out there increasing the noise of hate have gotten way more sophisticated. And there are way more of them running 24/7.

+1000. Convos with deeply misguided ppl can be fruitful and even fulfilling. But not with bots.
