Looking at getting a new Windows laptop. Surface Laptop? Spectre x360?
Desired specs: i7, touchscreen, 4k, no coil whine (
xps13)

Razor blade is also on this list, as is any of the upper range Sager notebooks.
-
@_tsauer did they announce 8th gen Intel support yet? -
Ah they're HQ processors.
-
1 USBC port on the razor blade stealth is disappointing
-
Amazon reviews are extremely extremely bad. Not looking good.
-
That's surprising. The reviews looked extremely good when it came out. Which one did you look at? 13.3"?

My XPS 15 has been great, and I believe it has all the features you requested.
-
My XPS 13 has a serious coil whine problem. Less of a problem on the 15"?
-
Yeah, I run Ps, a few Docker projs, Node instances, VS Code, and Chrome at the same time, without significant fan noise.
-
There's just inherently more surface area on the 15 to spread heat conductively, and engage the larger (more efficient) fans less.

Surface Laptop seems like one of the better options. The only thing I dislike about it is the fairly low-spec GPU (compared to e.g. MBP)
