Invalid patents *are* granted but (IMO) less and less. 1 reason: better search tech. New procedures also make patents easier to invalidate.

I see new software patents all the time that are patently (no pun intended) ridiculous. Not from the media, just normal browsing.

1. How closely did you read the *claims*? 2. Did you account for 'priority date'? It may be 10+ years ago. 2017 "Obvious" != 2007 obvious
