Give me another chance and I'll fight my ass off. Otherwise, the frequent justifications for the decision aren't that helpful.
Alex was never going to agree. Arrows were a good enough compromise. Of that there is no doubt.

Alex was not alone in objecting to block lambdas and others shared Maciej’s objection. Block lambdas lost.
-
That they lost is self evident.

I actually love arrow functions as they ended up and I wish map/filter/reduce worked on more things without copying to an Array first.
-
Generic map/etc. should be on TC39 agenda. I think we've discussed, but I've lost track.
-
it basically is now, via https://github.com/michaelficarra/proposal-first-class-protocols … :-D
-
That’s neat but do you really need it for generic map? Shouldn’t require anything beyond what Array.from() did.
-
generic filter, etc is important too, and Array.from only has a mapper arg.
-
If you’re ok with filter returning an Array always, it doesn’t need anything more than map. For DOM array-likes this is the right choice.
