That seems like a totally unnecessary mandatory lint...
I think mandatory lint can be good for real confusing points (e.g. unintentionally global "event"). Not for style rules.
i also think there's a big difference to failing a CI build (ie, preventing merging to master) and failing a local build
the latter seems almost never ideal
i value consistency a lot, especially in large teams, but there's diminishing returns with overly nitty style rules
but I think prettier (and other tools like gofmt) remove virtually all of the downside.
Strong agree. I could imagine including prettier but it assumes something about editors and usage patters. Vue == "incrementally adoptable"
yeah prettier, and style guides/rules in general are definitely *not* something that should/can be incrementally adopted
Right, which makes it a weird default for Vue. We've written enough words now that I suspect this'll be changed fast.
agree. i wouldn't put such things in a boilerplate setup without advertising "strongly opinionated" or something similar
