I don't get what kind of render trees people have that this difference in allocation actually makes difference in performance.

I don't think you should ever render millions of components.

Certainly in a world in which vdom is acceptable for performance, the extra closure allocation is not important. But it's not even extra!

People actually say that? Working with FP patterns sort of implies letting go of micro optimization if favor of optimizing data flow.
