Its optimizing compiler and JIT tiers are at least 1000x more complicated than glimmer (conservatively).

You're lucky. So you're saying complexity is fine as long as it's implemented well?

Pretty much yes. I also don't care about assembler and instruction sets of processors in my daily work.

So what makes you so sure that a low level DOM VM wouldn't have those same characteristics?

Your original comment was "solving perf issues with even more complexity?!" but even for you, it's more subtle than that.

You try to work around a problem that you created in the first place. The problem (creating dom-nodes) is solved much better elsewhere.
