I think WSL (Ubuntu on Windows) is probably the endgame. Progress is swift so I predict success eventually.

In the meantime, it works great as long as you're not doing something extremely IO constrained (watching FS sadly qualifies)

For small and medium projects I use it like crazy. When hundreds or thousands of files are involved, not yet.
