What's your worst tech interview experience? (RTs welcome)

It gets rid of a lot of bullshit. At the end of the day, can you code on a team with the current team members is the main question.
-
This sounds like a quick fix but let's add in convos about inevitable human biases too the mix. What if someone codes differently then you?

What if someone needs extra tooling to code Bc they have some kind of disability?
-
I'm not saying 'you're doing it wrong' I'm just saying this shit is complex AF and adding pair programming doesn't make it rainbows
-
Certainly not rainbows. We always look for ways to improve the process, especially when interviewing someone with unexpected needs.
-
Pair programming works for us as an interview because the job involves a lot of collaborative (often pair) work.
-
But I would never imply that this is a silver bullet. We look very closely at the specific circumstances of individual candidates.

How do you deal with avoiding leaks of proprietary techniques/code?
-
We don't really have proprietary techniques. Code leaks would be pretty difficult to pull off and unlikely to be worth the trouble.
