Is there any turnkey solution at all for dual-booting Windows and Linux?
I'm surprised the Ubuntu installer doesn't "just work" - I use UEFI and already have Windows installed. I guess I'm also scared to brick

it does work BUT when booting up installation drive, you need to choose "uefi {nameofusbdevice}" instead of "legacy boot". otherwise dragons

Might be an Ubuntu bug? I honestly don't know, I use Arch on most of my machines so it's all manual.

The only times recently that ubuntu has left my system unbootable, reinstalling linux and selecting efi partition for bootloader fixed it.
