Are you really sure about this? Solving performance issues with even more complexity? Have you considered you are on the wrong path?

Replying to @cmx66 @chadhietala and
I admit i'm not a big fan of ember. But things like svelte, vue, mithril or preact offer same or more with a lot less complexity.

Svelte is using an almost equivalent technique.

I'm not 100% sure about svelte either. Hello World is about 2kb. Normal use cases are about 4kb. But the compile seems simpler at first look

So do you approve of a compile step as long as the output is small or not?

I avoid compile steps where possible. Only use browserify and bublé. Bundle size comes 2nd. With
#mithriljs I have both. And it's fast.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
You're not a fan of compile steps but you like browserify and svelte?

#Browserify is the simplest way to use modules and has proven pretty stable for me. I'm no fan of svelte.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
Simple by what definition?

Number of WTF-is-happening-here per minute

I go by wtfs/min per line of code. On that metric, browserify is horrific.
