We work on React everyday for years. We even have to down-prioritize things we wish we'd have time for. There's a lot to criticize.

And even when you try to be clear, people don't pay attention. And worse, you compete poorly with projects that pretend all is well.

often it also seems like people don't know themselves why they like X more than Y and just repeat some reasons they read somewhere.

it makes more sense to drill into what part of the critique has a kernel of truth and use it to help existing (and prospective) users
