StackOverflow survey is one example of this phenomenon but I see it a lot.

I don't trust TIOBE but surveys that literally don't have ruby anywhere at all are just broken.

What are the other options? What are these surveys trying to measure? Informally, a lot of new ppl coming up thru bootcamps.

They ask people things like which langs they love, hate, use, etc. Ruby is not on any of the lists because it's not a choice.

I've seen some surveys leave off Ember as well and I just can't take them seriously after that.
