I'm just now getting around to learning the basics of React today. Figured I'd say that in case anyone is worried everyone knows it but them

as a beginner, I am starting with an HTML file, preact.min.js, and ES5.

I still don't use redux, mobx, etc. on top of React

-
Interesting! I've heard from a lot of production users that redux is now a no-brainer choice for new React users. Thoughts?
-
I wish it was more of a brainer choice. It's cargo-culted, but there's a palpable shift back to plain old setState for most interactions.

like JavaScript itself, React's near-ubiquity means that circumscribing a single "community" or tribe is a futile exercise. Lots of ways.

Amen. This is why I say "There is no React Community." Learn plain ol' React, then do what you like, you'll have fun and be productive.
