React is subject to the same boom and bust cycles we've seen in frameworks past. Nothing bad about that, but be prepared.

Disagree. React is a set of ideas, not a framework. Hard to think of modern UI tools not being "React" in some way or another.

yep. No silver bullet. I just can't think of a nicer bullet atm, and this particular bullet can work for things we haven't applied it to yet

There is no one silver bullet, nice or otherwise. The No Silver Bullet essay argues that the solutions are domain specific.
