It's probably iOS's fault, but I just can't get excited about mobile web when the browser doesn't give you access to anything on the device.

This isn't a troll. An app I'm building needs the vibration API, I can't use it, so I'm gonna go native.

You need your phone to vibrate like you need water? Is someone holding you hostage?

You are describing mobile web apps perfectly. Watered down, featureless, and janky.

The idea to just drop features cause mobile web is less capable is silly. Splitting hairs on "need" is also dumb. We don't *need* anything.

Personally I'm happy the web doesn't use useless features

Do you think native platforms should also disallow vibration?
