Someday I kinda want to write a blog post about how @simple was anything but. Banking still needs an overhaul.

Because you didn't read my tweet, I've gone ahead and captioned it here for u
. TL;DR Bitcoin needs usability tooling to be simplerpic.twitter.com/8samfZ9ZJv

The point you were making as i understood it (perhaps too many leaps) was bitcoin allows us to develop any interface / feature set we want
-
Not really, it let's us transfer wealth without banks as an intermediary, we can create rolling on top of that core feature.
-
Step 1: barter Step 2: currency Step 3: fiat currency Step 4: crypto currency I don't see the arrow as going in the "simple" direction
-
step 4 is usually "profit", but cryptocurrency works just the same.
-
I suspect a crypto is a better first primitive upon which to build if more universal
-
The number of years of math/grad school needed to understand the economy keeps going up. Why is that simpler?
-
Your average person doesn't understand the difference between APR and interest rate; they won't need to understand Bitcoin just the same.

I agree with your sentiment, but see solutions involving legacy banking as equally complex but less compelling than Bitcoin.
