I didn't mean to say "HTML imports are bad" but rather that they're one of many approaches being explored.

In my opinion, they're a weak option today, but YMMV. There's no rush.

I have serious concerns about production-readiness of both Web Components and H2. Better to polish those before moving on to HTML Imports.
