Another is @golang, which has been widely successful

Relative to its peers, no. Swift is much more successful, and even TypeScript, which is niche, is in the ballpark.

I don't think TypeScript is relative to this area of peers. Golang is extremely popular for native apps/services (more than I wish).

Yeah I agree that golang is popular in the container space and in some cases for microservices. But like... Haskell has more SO questions

I know golang is *perceived* to be very popular.

Perhaps, I'm seeing it used in prod for more things, but that might be personal experience.

Although even if it's popular for specific kind of tasks, it doesn't make it unfit for your original question I guess?

I think I'd agree that there's a small, infra ecosystem around golang. Definitely short of aspirations though.

What is openly shared on GitHub is just part of the ecosystem. Limitation of popularity contests.

What's a good way to get a sense for these other parts of the ecosystems?

Amount of package downloads is limited way (at least for Go) since the package distribution is so messed up at the moment.

Would help if Google etc. told a bit more about how much of Go code they have overall. But yeah, less than many expect. Most likely. 😐
