Relative to its peers, no. Swift is much more successful, and even TypeScript, which is niche, is in the ballpark.

That's a pretty weird success metric. I think golang *wanted* to be very general purpose and ended up very niche.

Also I would say Apple also has trouble making successful software ecosystems. They just have more leverage.
