Not arguing for (or against) Types btw. They are just another tool to be employed when appropriate. When is appropriate? 1/?
Does your criteria include Linux or Firefox/Chrome? Or was it carefully crafted to assume its own conclusion?

Browsers are nothing more than user agents for many small component pieces that work very well together.

The OS is nothing more than a bunch of very small resource APIs that unfortunately do interlock & turn into an awfully muddy ball sometimes.

I think it's woeful and bad for JS that we need to scale our code big, and I think FE would be better if it like backend could go micro.

I don't think I agree that backend has gone micro. Process isolation doesn't magically create abstraction boundaries.

Lambdas and the things like it are a the likely outcome for the various clouds. Has a drastic impact on architecture.
