Because sneaky editorializing happens all the time. I prefer outright editorializing, personally. I like transparency.

sounds like you'd love the Op-Ed pages. "sneaky editorializing" is just another way of saying nobody can be perfect.

the question is what the culture encourages and discourages. Discouraging editorializing has an impact on the amount.

Well, like I said, I'd rather you just tell me transparently what you believe, so I can better assess what you report as a consumer.
