I agree that most news pages are a failure :). Haha, but seriously, everyone has a perspective. Let's be real about that.
You can protest whatever you want, but you should start by not taking a job where editors write headlines.

If you're a reporter, you don't have much of a choice. The publications should stop doing this, as there's no good justification.

Understood, but that just gets back to my point that, when you're editing, it's not hard at all to also ask about the title.

In any case, on the other issue, my point is just that I think perspectives should be transparent, & the "news" label isn't.
