Depends on the hospital. We went through a very popular hospital for deliveries (@NorthsideHosp) and they have the good stuff.

Advice we never got: learn from the nurses. They're awesome at s̶w̶a̶d̶d̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ everything, and definitely will take time to teach

I think this depends on the hospital. Our's have been VERY good. I'd recommend go visit your hospital early... ;-)

my advice is always take as many swaddles as you can from the hospital. you need throw away ones for when life gets messy.
