it's a problem but they're willing to do it to get the local business. That doesn't make it a good regulation.

I don't trust them to regulate themselves either. But it sounds like we're talking about which background check system.

afaict the only objection Uber and Lyft have is to the form of the background check, not a general issue with regs.
