Debian or Ubuntu pplz: What would it take to get Ruby as a scripting language shipped by default?
but /usr/bin/env python is still (and forever shall be) py2. So they were motivated to ship py3 first.

it is easier to rewrite from python2 to python3 than to ruby. btw, are rubyqt and rubygtk stable?

I'm not saying every tool should be rewritten in Ruby, but rather that it should be an option.

I didn't think you were suggesting that. Only explaining why py3 got the effort it did.

it's hard to find free space to be added to isos as every bit counts when you ship say libreoffice by default.
