I’m the weirdo who thinks the IC should probably not be briefing the electoral college.
I agree it's a bad idea, but the electoral college has rules (this is why Hillary didn't win), so the election isn't over yet.

The fact that it’s just for show is how we rationalize it being OK for there to be an EC to begin with.
