I've been noticing that Google prioritizing AMP articles on mobile search results has been degrading the quality of the top results.

of course, there’s an indirect fx: If more people click on faster AMP pages, that page could naturally start to rank higher.

AMP pages load fast because Google is cheating ("cheating"?) by preloading parts in the SERP. Does this help ranks?

I’m pretty sure the answer is no, but since I don’t know for a fact, I’ll try to find out on our side.
