at the moment, Debian. Been seriously thinking about going to a BSD. I also really like Arch.

the .deb packages I use in ubuntu should "just work" in Debian.

also you can use a web browser (which is mostly what I do)

I don't know what would go wrong. I open up slack in my web browser and it works.
