Today's mantra: orange stripe orange green stripe blue blue stripe green brown stripe brown.
I asked @akatz that question and he said nope this is hoe it's done.

I think part of the problem is the jacks: https://www.amazon.com/Leviton-61110-RW6-eXtreme-QuickPort-Connector/dp/B000RATBWQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1480888324&sr=8-2&keywords=leviton+ethernet …. If you wire like other jacks the cable comes out the side
-
the problem is that wiring the individual wires requires more fine motor skills than I personally have :p

I have discovered something called a punch down tool: https://www.amazon.com/Vastar-Network-Punch-Impact-Blades/dp/B01E58M5EG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480888446&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=impact+tool&psc=1 …. Might enable going wire by wire, at least?
-
yea I used a punch down tool. Still required too much manual dexterity for me but I bet it'll be enough for you.
-
I found jacks to be easier than the cable ends themselves, It requires for sure 2x the dexterity and there's no tolerance

I am using EZRJ-45 which I think lives up to its name. Still a pain, but can verify before you crimp. Few failures so far.
