I mean, people *can* do many things, @AaronBlake, but we generally shouldn't encourage them to make nonsensical arguments.pic.twitter.com/tA8xaUFe1i

btw, http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/thoughts-on-the-post-2016-strawman-war … matches my thoughts the closest on this topic. I wonder where (if at all) you disagree with it.
1) What he calls a strawman isn't really one; calling legitimate opposition to Clinton sexist happened a lot during the primary.
2) I agree class & other forms of identity shouldn't be pitted against each other, but that was commonly done during the primary.
3) Also, I think Sanders' discussion was very different (& much better) than Mark Lilla's, & I'm not sure Marshall recognized that.
4) (Though he didn't reference Lilla explicitly, he seemed to lump Sanders together with other critiques, which I think is wrong.)
5) But overall, I thought the piece had good sentiment in it. I just wish it was a little more contextually accurate :).
Marshall talks about Dems needing a better economic message. They need to lose the corporatists & do something for us.
