the Ember Data Down, Actions Up philosophy seems like the same thing but I don't fully understand which aspects are impt to you.

the Ember component has been evolving to make it more and more explicit. Glimmer components will make it very very explicit.

Agreed. Admittedly, I it's hard to grasp for newcomers. I see a lot of folks confused by it. I remember having a hard time with it..
