I think most of us will pass because of answers like this. Why stand the abuse?

I think this is true, but doesn't explain going from ~$50MM to ~$100M in military spending since early 2000s. :/

I usually take both the praise and criticism with a grain of sand. A country under embargo is under siege.

embargoes are an explanation but not sufficient. Cuban military spending has grown rapidly in 10 years.

I agree. We're about to find out what happens as we loosen the restrictions though. They are on the verge of failure
