        I know people know, but almost every convo I've had with Europeans on spying has fingered the US as the primary threat.

        And yes, we know the US is a threat. But the ACLU has a better success rate than the equivalent UK efforts.

        The relation the UK (or any country in Europe for that matter) has to the EU is not like the states have in the US.

        The US spying is very worrying, but focusing on "the US" as a uniquely bad actor is doing damage to the cause.
