Have you been keeping up with Linux? I'm hoping not to buy any more Apple products and my current plan is to switch to Linux.

For me, it all comes down to the terminal and tools support. Homebrew and full *nix tools support on OSX makes things easier.

Windows Subsystem for Linux ("bash-for-windows") is a massive investment by MS into fixing this.

@Martndemus I can see many reasons for a developer to prefer Mac -- which is built on Unix. That said ... (1/2) -
I really balk at the notion that Mac is somehow "ahead". The GUI is ****ing antiquated, for one thing. (2/2)
