Okay this is kind of stunning. We are actually watching a political party being forcibly reformed. http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/307462-trump-adviser-tells-house-republicans-youre-no-longer-reagans-party#.WDZK2iSZXRh.twitter …

that's what I think I read too. But that can't be it. It falls down at the most basic prodding no?
-
who prodding who?
-
I mean it's not very sound as an economic platform. You can't find big budget and cut taxes. Has never worked and will never.
-
I don't think it'll hang together long term. But look how quickly the right abandoned deficits. Always do.
-
Gov. Brownback did a similar thing in KS in 2012 - cut taxes on businesses so they spend to create jobs
-
this is similar to what I've read about Trump's infra. spending plan. in KS we've have massive budget shortfalls
-
and just in this election (4 years on), politicians (R & D) realized "maybe we should close those tax loopholes from 2012."

or, more accurately, a tool used to achieve the goal of preventing proletarian revolution.

I have to admit that even when I find myself agreeing with Marxist ideas, I find Marxist jargon to be grating.

the idea is that the failure of late stage capitalism is a tipping point with two likely outcomes, socialism or fascism.
-
the main threat to the 1% is the working class, so they will try to manipulate them into fighting each other.

Trump has already started doing thishttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-working-class-unions_us_56ead51fe4b03a640a69c58d …

fwiw I am able to translate Marxish in my head, but it's like translating a foreign language. Feels weird.
-
fair enough, which is why I dropped the jargon.
