Tech is a weird industry where people think that never hiring entry level people is viable in the long term. No "0yrs experience" jobs.

I find this to be much less true outside of the SV bubble

right, but the SV bubble owns the oxygen, so it's hard to talk about this. Not enough talk about entry-level programs.

true. I always assumed that listings that said 1-3 years of experience included things like internships, boot camp, open source, etc

which is common in every industry. No one is entitled to a job with literally 0 experience

it's not about entitlement, and more about the fact that every industry needs an entry-level pipeline & we don't talk abt it

the process by which companies hire new devs w/o experience and train them.

that's because software is mostly a blue collar job. And blue collars don't hire blue collars. Hiring mgrs are sales or hr reps.

well, it's a solution to a problem most people don't care about: secure, permissionless, trustless (but slow) transfer of value.

whether they should care...not sure. That said, I think the problem is big enough that the innovation is here to stay. salt is good

advanced degree is a well-trod entry level program. Hired as an associate is a thing. Residency is a thing.
